What 173 Porta Potty Rental Calls Taught Us
We tagged 173 recorded porta potty rental calls from 2025–2026 by renter type, timing, unit and question. Here's what renters actually need — and what trips them up.

How many units do renters need?
Most renters need very few units. Of 98 event callers, about two-thirds needed exactly one porta potty, and 92% needed one or two. Stated crowds ranged from 15 to 140 guests for private events; only a handful of callers needed three or more units or a trailer.
How fast do renters need delivery?
Fast. 43 of 173 callers (25%) needed a unit today or tomorrow. The biggest triggers were a supplier that never showed, a septic failure, a crew starting the next morning, and a funeral. Weekend timing came up in about a third of calls.
That's why we built our process around a noon same-day cutoff and Saturday dispatch. How same-day delivery works.
What do renters ask most?
Price was asked on nearly every call, followed by delivery timing, whether the price covers the whole rental, weekend pickup, 28-day billing, weekly cleaning and whether the company is local. About 1 in 5 callers asked, “Are you a local company?” before anything else.
We answered all 156 distinct questions in our porta potty rental FAQ.
Why don't callers book?
Three reasons dominated: the all-in price was higher than expected once delivery, fuel and tax were added; the company couldn't deliver on a weekend; and the caller learned they'd reached a national broker, not a local company. Clear all-in quotes and local dispatch fix all three.
