Is an event rental or a 28-day rental cheaper for my job?
An event rental is cheaper for anything up to three days. For a job of 4 to 28 days, a 28-day rental is usually cheaper, because it includes weekly service. Our dispatcher quotes whichever plan costs you less.
| Your need | Best plan | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 1-day party | Event | Covers up to 3 days |
| 3-day roof | Event | Delivery, pickup, 3 days included |
| 1–2 week remodel | 28-day | Includes weekly cleaning |
| Septic repair, 2–4 weeks | 28-day | One cycle covers it |
What short-term renters asked
Short projects caused the most billing questions in our 173-call review: “Even if I take it for three days, you're charging me for a full month?” and “If we pick it up sooner, is there a refund?” Our fix: a three-day event rate for short jobs, and plain 28-day terms for longer ones.
Event rental or 28-day rental for a ten-day roof job?
For a ten-day roof job in Victoria, a 28-day rental is cheaper and cleaner. Back-to-back event rentals would cost $249 for each three-day block, or about $996 for ten days. One 28-day cycle costs $199 plus $49 delivery, $248 total, and includes a weekly cleaning.
| Job length | Event rentals (3-day blocks) | One 28-day cycle | Better choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–3 days | $249 | $248, no refund for unused days | Either; event if you want pickup set |
| 4–6 days | $498 | $248 | 28-day |
| 10 days | $996 | $248 | 28-day |
| 3 weeks | $1,743 | $248 | 28-day |
